It all begun in 2003 the year I was ordained a priest. My first appointment was and still at Our Lady source of Joy, Kasambya Parish,Kiyinda -Mityana Diocese, Uganda. I was appointed assistant Pastor and Father in charge of schools. Last year I was appointed pastor of the same parish.
The parish had 16 primary schools without a secondary school {High School}! Many young girls and boys stopped at the primary level and some could get married at the age of 13/14! One cause for this was lack of a high school in the region;the nearest of the kind being in 32 kilometers;hence the beginning of the dream school in the parish.
In 2008 we begun St.Benedict high school. I dreamed and still dream of St.Benedict as a modal school with well qualified and salaried teachers, Permanent buildings with a well equipped Laboratory and library, Electricity with a standby generator, a computer lab,school gardens, a school truck and bus, and a permanent source of running water! With such a school, we must produce good grades and above all well disciplined students with catholic morals that will help them to live as good citizens. This is still my dream and our dream.
